Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Storyblok account. It can be configured at the account level and optionally enforced at the space level.

Enable 2FA on your account.

1. Log in to the Storyblok app and click on My Account in the lower-left corner.
2. Select Account Settings
3. On the Account Settings page, navigate to the Account Security section.
4. Under Two-factor authentication, activate the slider next to "Require second step at login" to enable this option.
5. Choose your preferred 2FA method — Email, SMS, or Authenticator App — and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Enforce 2FA on a space

Forced 2FA is an exclusive feature of the Premium and Elite plans. For more information, please see our Pricing page.

Space admins can require all users in a space to use 2FA. This setting is managed separately from your account-level 2FA configuration.

1. Open the relevant space in the Storyblok app.
2. Navigate to Settings and select the Security tab.
3. Enable the Two-Factor Authentication option and save your changes.

Note: Once 2FA is enforced on a space, users without 2FA configured on their account will be prompted to set it up before they can access the space.
