Creating a Storyblok account takes only a few minutes, and you don't need a credit card to get started. This article walks you through each step, from the sign-up form to confirming your email address, and gives you a quick overview of the 45-day free trial that starts when you create your first space.

Step 1: Open the sign-up page

Go to storyblok.com and click one of these options in the top navigation bar:

• Try for Free: takes you straight to the sign-up page.
• Login: takes you to the login page. Click the Sign up option below the login fields to open the sign-up page.

Step 2: Choose how you want to sign up

You can create your account with GitHub or with your email address:

• Sign up with GitHub if you already have a GitHub account.
• Sign up with your email address by completing the sign-up form. The steps below cover this option.

Step 3: Complete the sign-up form

The following fields are mandatory:

• First name
• Last name
• Company name
• Job title
• Work email address

Step 4: Create your password

Your password must meet these requirements:

• At least 8 characters
• At least one lowercase letter
• At least one uppercase letter
• At least one number
• At least one special character

Step 5: Accept the terms and create your account

Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We recommend taking a moment to read both before you continue. Then click Create account.

Step 6: Choose how you want to start

Next, Storyblok asks how you'd like to begin. You can pick either path:

• Build your own project: recommended for developers. You'll create a brand-new space right away.
• Explore the demo environment: recommended for content creators. Storyblok creates a demo space so you can look around before building anything.

If you choose the demo environment

1. Storyblok creates a demo space for you and starts a short guided tour.
2. Select your role (for example, Content Creator) so the tour shows you the areas that matter most for your work.
3. Click Next to move to the next area, or skip the tour anytime.
4. When you're ready, choose the option to start your own project. This takes you to create a brand-new space.

The demo space runs on the free Starter plan, so it has no payment or subscription attached and includes one user. Your 45-day free trial starts when you create your own space, which you can do anytime.

If you choose to build your own project

1. Create your new space when prompted and give it a name.
2. Once the space is created, select your main role: Developer or Content Creator.
3. Your space starts its 45-day free trial automatically, whichever role you choose.
4. Add any optional details you'd like to share, then watch the introduction or go straight into your space and start building.

Step 7: Confirm your email address

As soon as you sign up, Storyblok sends a verification email to the address you registered. The email welcomes you to Storyblok and includes a button to confirm your account. Click the button, and you'll see a message confirming that your account was verified successfully.

Please confirm your account early on, since you'll need a confirmed account before you can upload assets to your space.

Can't find the verification email? Check your spam or junk folder first. You can also request a new one:

• While you're working in Storyblok, use the option to resend the verification email.
• If you've logged out, you can also resend the confirmation email below the login fields.

About your 45-day free trial

Every new space automatically starts with a 45-day free trial on the Growth Plus plan, with no plan selection or credit card required. Please note that the trial can end early if you choose to confirm your plan or when your space reaches the 10GB traffic maximum.
