Initially, the Pipeline app was called Branches and it was introduced together with the Releases app. This combination and the misleading name lead to the wrong expectations, that Branches are similar to the GIT branches.

We change the name of the app to the Pipeline App. The Pipeline App should be used to define a strict content staging workflow in your space - similar to the pipeline.

The most important information about the Pipeline App is that content is editable only on PREVIEW stage and frozen on other pipeline stages.
